Dear Port Barre High Community, Families, and Town,

Thank you for all you do for our children. Each day, I welcome every student and remind them that they matter to the Port Barre staff. We are committed to giving them the best instruction and are working tirelessly to improve our campus and facilities for their benefit. As I’ve said since day one, "Our kids deserve better." I believe that deeply and hope my efforts reflect that belief.

I ask that you please read this message and use the millage calculator linked above and below for your convenience. The facts are clear: we are one of the lowest-taxing parishes in the state, and it has been 40 years since we last addressed a millage for our schools. I live here, I pay taxes here, and my children deserve more. Please review the information, consider the facts, and make the decision you feel is best — I will respect your choice.

Thank you for taking the time to look into this and for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Coach Mac

Mrs. Bobbie Jo LeBlanc, Mrs. Queen Kelsi Willis, and Mrs. Mamie Mistric started off with a vision to make our campus more beautiful. What started off with weeds and an eye sore has come to light. From the 1st Annual PBHS Clean Up Day to now man has it changed. A big shout out to these ladies for enhancing the beauty of our campus. Thank you Matt Stelly for allowing our AG students to assist in spreading the mulch on this project. It's a great day to be a Red Devil!

The FBLA competition is at UL, held at the CajunDome. We brought three students from Pot Barre High to compete at the state level against students from across the state. Sunday provided a chance for them to compete and collaborate with peers from other high schools. This state conference offers another incredible opportunity for our Red Devils.
