Our new members were officially initiated, and our officers were inducted into their leadership roles. 💙 We are grateful to Mrs. Melissa Armond for stepping in with encouraging words, to Mrs. Joyce Haynes for attending, and to Ms. Jacqueline Vallaire for the beautiful (and delicious!) cake. 🔬 Mr. Preston’s Biology II class kicked off their dissection lab today with the earthworm specimen! Seniors had the chance to dive deeper into anatomy through this hands-on learning experience. 🪱📚

Ben officially signed with the National Guard yesterday! After scoring extremely high on the ASVAB, he qualified for every MOS and chose his path with confidence. He’ll serve one weekend a month and two weeks each summer while pursuing his IT/Computer Science degree at UL Lafayette.
MACA is proud to celebrate Ben’s commitment to both his education and our nation! 🌟

1️⃣ In the first competition student's robots had to come to a stop before hitting a wall.
2️⃣ The second assessment was on going the furthest in a straight line.
3️⃣ The third was an all out race to the finish line. 🏁
The Robotics students will continue to assemble and code their robots to complete various tasks throughout the beginning of the school year. 💡🔧💻

🌱 Exciting news for MACA Biology! 🌱
Our class has received a miniature professional greenhouse from LSU’s Ag Center. Along with it came seed packets, planting guides, and lesson plans to bring science to life. Soon, students will begin germinating seeds right here in class—hands-on learning at its best!
📢 A big thank you to Pelican State Credit Union and Mrs. Adrienne Guillory for visiting our JAG students today! 🙌 She shared valuable lessons on savings and budgeting, giving our students tools for smart financial futures. 💰
